Hey {{first_name}},

Check this out.

Feels creepy.

Google is rolling out an opt-in update that lets its new AI search mode use your Gmail and Photos to personalise answers (including shopping recommendations).

Yip, it will be able to understand you from your inbox and the context of things you haven’t even included in the prompt.

Here’s an example of something that happened to one of the testers of the new Personal Intelligence.

In testing Personal Intelligence with Gmail and Google Photos enabled, I’ve found new things that I wouldn’t have ever considered or discovered before. One recent example: I was looking for a new pair of sneakers, and AI Mode noticed a brand I’d just bought and suggested a new style I hadn’t seen yet. The recommendation was spot on — I bought them instantly!

And the Photos bit is what makes this even creepier…

It could learn what you look like, your style, your skin tone, your hair type, your build, your weight and probably a whole bunch of other things about you, your friends and your family.

For a user, this is going to be convenience and laziness on steroids…

And for a brand, this is one massive opportunity.

Think about the profile targeting that this opens up for Google Ads.

Buyer Personas are going to get a whole new lease on life.

And the emails you send to your customers are going to be even more important.

Tomorrow, I’ll send over a list of ideas on how you can start getting ahead of your competitors on this one.
