Hey {{first_name}}
I just deleted a different version of this email.
I read it back and it sucked.
The concept sounded decent in my head, but when I wrote it out, I realised it said nothing useful at all.
Basically a waste of your time.
This happens more often than I would like to admit.
Sometimes it is too vague.
Sometimes it starts drifting into salesy territory.
And sometimes it just feels like I am forcing an email out because it is Wednesday.
I hate it.
Because when I started this newsletter, I had one goal.
Share useful CRO knowledge in a way that is easy to understand and actually useful.
Not fill your inbox for the sake of it.
Rich Kimber recently told me these emails are like an ‘Agony Aunt’ column, but for CRO.
So I am embracing that description today and asking you this:
What are you stuck on?
Hit reply and send me the question(s) in your head.
Maybe it’s something like:
What is Shopify’s new AI Toolkit all about and how could I actually use it?
Do I have an Ads problem or a website problem?
Why are people adding to cart but not checking out?
What should I fix first on my PDP?
Do I need a redesign, or do I just need better CRO thinking?
Why did this A/B test idea fail?
Whatever it is, send it.
Chances are, if you are wondering, other people are too.
Chat soon,
Peter
